Fiat Chrysler<\/a>, [2017-1842] (March 7, 20180, the Federal Circuit affirmed the district court&#8217;s grant of summary judgment of non-infringement of\u00a0U.S. Patent No.\u00a07,152,840 on a book holder.<\/p>\n<p>The Federal Circuit noted that it had previously reviewed claim construction\u00a0of the \u2019840 Patent, and ruled that several claim limitations<br \/>\nrequire that the claimed book holder has a \u201cremovable\u00a0mounting.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0This ruling on claim scope is a matter of \u201cclaim construction,\u201d\u00a0which is ultimately a question of law, and not subject to collateral review.\u00a0 The Federal Circuit said that no error has been shown in this claim construction,\u00a0and no reason for departing from the rules of collateral<br \/>\nestoppel or <em>stare decisis<\/em> as to this claim term.<\/p>\n<p>The Federal Circuit\u00a0discerned no error in the district court\u2019s grant of<br \/>\nsummary judgment of non-infringement, for no reasonable\u00a0fact finder could find that the accused cameras meet\u00a0the \u201cremovably attached\u201d limitation of claim 1.\u00a0 The Federal Circuit added that it had\u00a0liberally<br \/>\nconstrued the pleadings, but have concluded that the\u00a0Second Amended Complaint\u2019s accusation of infringement\u00a0lacks plausibility.
