Trump has been accused of patent infringement.\u00a0 In a <a href=\"https:\/\/patents.harnessip.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/2017-PATENTS-Smith-v-Trump-Wacky-Complaint.pdf\">suit<\/a>\u00a0filed on December 12 in the Norther District of California, Lathan Lycurgus Smith alleges President Trump and the Secret Service and the entire country of patent infringement.\u00a0 Apparently Mr. Smith is some sort of polymath, with inventions ranging from automobiles to toilet paper.\u00a0 \u00a0Mr. Smith&#8217;s prayer for relief goes a little beyond 35 USC \u00a7\u00a7 283-284, seeking:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>issuance of all of his patents<\/li>\n<li>all the money made from the patents (they must be design patents)<\/li>\n<li>an exemption from taxes &#8220;for the rest of time&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>an injunction against making &#8220;anything that the Patents are on or involved with&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>a &#8220;full body massage the rest of my life dayly [sic].&#8221;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/patents.harnessip.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/smith.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-large wp-image-1851 alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/patents.harnessip.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/smith-1024x480.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"584\" height=\"274\" srcset=\"https:\/\/patents.harnessip.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/smith-1024x480.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/patents.harnessip.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/smith-300x141.jpg 300w, https:\/\/patents.harnessip.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/smith-768x360.jpg 768w, https:\/\/patents.harnessip.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/smith-500x235.jpg 500w, https:\/\/patents.harnessip.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/smith.jpg 1426w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 584px) 100vw, 584px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Today&#8217;s question is: Is patent infringement a high crime or misdemeanor?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In addition to all the other wild accusations against him, Donald J.
